Thornham........Desert Wheatear

Male Desert Wheatear.
I picked up Michael at about 7.30 am on Saturday 12th and we headed to Thornham in Norfolk and the hope of seeing the male Desert Wheatear that had been showing well on the beach and we were not disappointed , it showed very well for the whole hour or so we were there , this was a new species for Michael and was  a very welcome year tick for me , here are a selection of photos i took :
Eating a meal worm.
In flight note pale buff rump and black tail.

Doing a little stretching.
We ended up at Salthouse and saw an amazing flock of 109 Snow Bunting which is the largest flock i have seen of this species and was a fantastic sight to see , Michael took the time to get a photo and printed it off and counted them , hopefully i will be able to post a picture on here soon.
