Slender-billed Nutcracker
It's taken me a very long time to finally connect with a Nutcracker in the UK, i have dipped two previous birds, one in Staffordshire, it was there 27 days (i was a day to late) and one in Kent back in 1998.
With the recent eruption of this species in Western Europe hope prevailed one would eventually turn up in the UK.
Well on Friday 23rd October one was photographed in a garden at Mundesley in Norfolk, i couldn't go straight away over the weekend but when i got my chance i had some really great views of this most wanted bird .
Here are a small selection of photos i took.
